LOVE ANIMALS?
 

What better way to spend some of your free time than with some amazing cats and dogs?

 

We have a great group of volunteers who donate their time and talents so that more dogs and cats can be saved. We know people have varying schedules and free time so volunteer days/times are up to you! We are open for volunteers every day from 7a - 5p and have a variety of opportunities.

Individual Volunteer

Requirements:

 

Be at least 14* years old.

 

* volunteers between 14 - 17 years old must be accompanied by a guardian

 

Be reliable and committed. 

 

Be flexible. 

Group Volunteering

We can accommodate groups of up to 10 people at a time with advanced notice.

 

Requirements:

 

Contact the Volunteer Coordinator at least 3 weeks ahead of your requested volunteer date with the number of people in your group.

Community Service

We allow community service hours to be fulfilled at HOPE, except for any charges related to animal cruelty, domestic violence or drugs.

 

You must fulfill the Individual Volunteer requirements.

 

Have any documentation that describes why you need community service, the number of hours and the due date.

Here's how to get started!

 

1. Submit the Volunteer Application or print the form and return it to the shelter.

 

2. Once your form has been received, the Volunteer Coordinator will contact you within 48 hours to discuss upcoming orientations. You will be contacted by your preferred method of contact as indicated in the application.

 

3. Reserve your spot in the orientation and show up! It's that easy.

 

 ** All volunteers must attend an orientation before you can start volunteering. **

Volunteer Orientation

 

During the volunteer orientation, new volunteers will receive a shelter tour, description of the different shelter shifts and hands on training based on your interests.

 

Submit the volunteer application below and our Volunteer Coordinator will contact you to schedule your orientation.
